It’s important for all creche owners and management to note that a standard manual handling course, which focuses on lifting boxes, equipment and other inanimate objects, does not cover the moving and handling of children.
The lifting, moving and handling of children requires Manual Handling for Childcare training and certification, which SafeHands Health & Safety Solutions can provide on-site at your premises.
The duration of this course is three hours approximately and can be provided at any time on any day to suit your requirements – as we know that staff rostering can be an issue for creche managers – and certification is valid for three years.
